Republic of Suriname is an independent country of South America. It is situated between Guyana and French Guiana. Bauxite industry flourished in the country with the declining construction, mining and utility sectors. Around 15% of GDP and 70% of export earnings are contributed by bauxite industry. Suriname has also started exploiting its gold and oil reserves, which has helped increase in employment. United States, Netherlands and countries in Caribbean play a major role in expanding trade industry of Suriname. Agriculture industry also employees about quarter of work force of the country.
