For example: healthcare, biotech, legal process outsourcing, financial research, animation and graphics, writing and content development etc.

Employment in KPO sector:
Indian KPO sector promises a bright future, expecting a higher rate of growth in KPOs as compared to BPOs. The sector provides challenging and rewarding long term career opportunities to domain experts and qualified professionals in various fields like lawyers, doctors, PhDs MBAs, CAs, journalists, pharma graduates, engineers and experts in various other domains. The major skills required are the analytical and researching skills with an eye for detail, good writing and communication skills etc. As far as remuneration in the sector is concerned, it is one of the highly paying sectors. Where, a fresh graduate can start from 8 k to 15 k, a professional with an experience of couple of years can get a package of 4 to 5 lacs.

However, the sector is facing dearth of qualified and skilled professionals. Also, high salaries are luring professionals to hop jobs in the sector at a frequent rate, taking the attrition levels in the sector to an all time high of 30 percent.
