Medium & Heavy Commercial Vehicle (MHCV) segment witnessed a growth of 2.09%. At present, there are 6 manufacturers in MHCV segment.
With increasing demand for load carriers,
a few manufacturers are expanding their capacity and some of the manufacturers are setting up new plants. Ashok Leyland is the leader among MHCV manufacturers with a production of more than 1 lakh MHCVs during financial year 2005-06, followed by Tata Motors.
