Indian automobile industry witnessed a growth of 25.29% in motorcycle segment. Indian motorcycle segment includes a range of brands, such as Bajaj Pulsar, Bajaj Discover, Bajaj, CBZ, Freedom, TVS Victor, TVS Star, etc. The manufacturers are in the process of launching new models.
Bajaj, TVS and Hero Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, etc are leaders in the Indian motorcycle segment.
Production
During financial year 2005-06, Indian motorcycle production showed a growth of 19.39% over the preceding year. At present there are more than 6 million motorcycles manufactured in Indian automobile sector.
