Incorporated in December 1995, Honda Siel Cars India Ltd., (HSCIL) is a joint venture between Honda Motor Co. Ltd., Japan and Siel Limited with the motive of manufacturing Honda passenger cars in India.
The company has been certified ISO 9002 & ISO 14001 as per the ISO standards. HSCIL has also received the prestigious Gold Award by Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board and World Bank, for Best Environmental Performance in the region. With 14% growth, Honda car sales have reached 42,727 units in Indian market. The company has recently launched its new model Civic in Indian markets. Hyundai has 53 service stations in 41 cities of the country. The company is planning to raise capacity of its plant to almost 1,00,000 cars per annum by 2010.
