Two Indian biotech projects, BIOTECH from Kerala and SKG Sangha from Karnataka, have been short-listed for the Ashden Awards for
Sustainable Energy, popularly known as the "Green Oscars". These projects will have to compete with the contestants from China, Ghana, Nepal, Peru, Bangladesh, Philippines, and Tanzania for five awards. The award and the prize money of more than 200,000 pounds (Rs. 17 lakhs approx)
will be presented by Former US Vice president Al Gore at the Royal Geographical Society on June 21.
