Also known as Heinz, the company was founded in 1869 by Henry John Heinz in Pennsylvania, US. It began by delivering processed condiments to local grocers by horse-drawn wagon. Its first product was horseradish. The company was initially on the name of Anchor Pickle and Vinegar Works, but in 1872 the name was changed to Heinz, Noble & Company.
