IT firms are hiring more and more people form engineering background. Quality engineering work is being outsourced to India apart form other work. Many engineering companies are taking up design and project management jobs for US-based companies. Therefore there is an increase in demand for engineers in KPO sector. Organisations providing engineering services are employing engineers from various disciplines like civil, mechanical, electrical, chemical, etc to work in KPOs.
The number of people hired this year was far more than the number of people hired in the last year. The chief reason being the growing demand for the products and services, both national and international market.
