Company profile
AML Steel was set up as a natural consequence when the group decides to diversify its portfolio. As a result, a steel plant was set up at Pondicherry near Chennai, where it flourished by the abundance of uninterrupted power supply. AML Steel was the first of its kind in the South India to produce steel bars from iron scrap.

To strengthen its grip further in the steel industry, in 2003, AML Steel made some overseas

acquisitions; notable of them was Ashok Steel Industries of Sri Lanka. It also overtook another Indian company in Pondicherry by the name of Ankit Ispat Pvt. Ltd. Both the companies since then have been transformed and modernized and now both of them are earning good revenue.

AML Steel has an annual turnover of Rs. 250 crores and aims at achieving 500 cr turnover in the current fiscal year. The success story AML Steel continued as AML Steel & Power Ltd is established.
