AML Steel Limited was established to manufacture video and audio cassettes. In 1993, it diversified successfully into steel making. It has also set up AML Steel & Power Ltd. and has been allocated 384 acres of iron ore mines by the Government of India. AML Steel has 3 subsidiaries:
1. Ankit Ispat Pvt. Ltd.
2. Ashok Steel Industries Srilanka Ltd.
3. AML Steel & Power Ltd.
