It is with the advent of call centers and Business Process Outsourcing units that India managed to become a bigger name globally. The main reason behind India becoming a favorite outsourcing hub was the large-scale availability of intelligent, talented English speaking work force who were ready to work at cost-effective prices. This factor, in fact, led to a major rise in call center jobs in India.
According to a survey conducted by Nasscom, India's call center industry accounts for a quarter of all software and services exports from the country. The main advantage of call centers in India is that it has opened up several job opportunities for the people in India. And lakhs of youth in India are already associated with the call center industry.
