College Jobs in India

Teachers always have had great influence on the minds of the students. Many students consider themselves lucky that during the college days,
they came in close proximity with some of the great minds, the lecturers and professors, who have always held a positive influence on their minds. Academically brilliant students even want to opt for the career of lecturers or professors, defying the more glamour-clad and lucrative career options. Even today, college jobs in India rank among the most sought after professions.
Eligibility
Students must possess a postgraduate degree. A doctoral degree always comes in handy. Every year the University Grants Commission (UGC) conducts the National Eligibility Test (NET) twice. The successful candidates are eligible to apply for the Junior Research Fellowship and entry as a lecturer.

NET is conducted for the following subjects:

  • Mathematical Sciences
  • Earth Atmospheric Ocean & Planetary Sciences

The test is conducted in the months of June and December. The relevant announcements are made in Employment News respectively in March and September.

The UGC maintains a high standard to filter the best among the prospective entrants. Only five percent of total applicants are able to crack the NET each year.

  • West Bengal
  • Andhra Pradesh
  • Tamil Nadu
  • Uttar Pradesh
