Fundraising is the process opted by individuals, businesses, governmental agencies, especially charitable foundations and NGOs for gathering money, in the form of donations which are made either in cash or in kind. Though, fundraising sometimes refers to the procedure where investors solicit other sources of capital for their enterprises, the term is typically associated with fund gathering efforts of the non-profit organizations having charitable objectives. Increasing instances of child and women abuse, drug consumption, HIV positive cases, mental depression, disability, poverty, old age problems have created scope for NGOs to flourish, and thus have also initiated the scopes in fundraising jobs in India.
