Navik (General Duty)
Application are invited from male Indian nationals (ST category only) possessing educational qualification and age, as prescribed below, for recruitment to the post of Navik (General Duty) in the Indian Coast Guard, an armed force of the Union.
Post : Navik (General Duty)
Educational Qualification : 10+2 with Maths and physics from an education Board recognized by central/state government.
Age : Born between 01.02.1985 to 31.01.1994 (05 years age relaxation included)
Number of Post : 52 (subject to change)
Pay, Perks and Others Benefits :
1) Pay scale Rs.5200-20200 along with Rs.2000 grade pay. In addition dearness allowance Kit maintenance allowance and other liberal allowance will admissible.
2) Free ration, free clothing, free medical treatment for self and family including dependent parents
3) Government accommodation for self and family on nominal license fee.
4) 45 days earned leave and 08 days casual leave every year with leave travel concession for self, family and dependent parents as per govt. rules
5) Insurance cover of Rs.20 Lakhs at premium of Rs.2000 per month as Group insurance.
6) Contributory pension scheme and gratuity on retirement
7) canteen and various loan facilities.
Medical Standards :
Minimum height 157 cms (may be reduced by 5 cms in the case of Gorkhas, Nepalese, Assamese including those form Nagaland, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Garhwal, Sikkim, Local tribals of Andaman and Nicobar Islands and by 2 cms in case of candidates from Lakshadweep, Mainland settlers in Andaman and Niccober and candidates joining the Indian Coast Guard on second appointment from other government departments.
Chest : should be well proportioned. Minimum expansion 5 cms.
Weight : Proportioned to height and age + acceptable. Hearing normal
Medical examination will be conducted by authorized military doctors as per medical standard prescribed in current regulations applicable to enrolled personnel on entry.
Goods mental, medical and physical health, free from any disease/disability, likely to interfere with efficient performance of duties.
No cardio vascular disease, surgical deformities like knock kenee, flat feet etc. infection of ears, no history of fits or psychiatric ailment, varicose vein, corrective surgery for eye sight etc.
General Duty : 6/6 (Good eye) and 6/9 (Bad eye) (candidates using glasses are not eligible)
Candidates are advised to get their ears cleaned for wax and tartar, removed from teeth prior to examination.
