Recommendations and suggestions by the State Committees and Commissions have been given due importance in this matter.
Karnataka Government Jobs Pay Structure: A Few Facts
The suggestions of the State Commissions and Committees clearly imply that the Central Pay Scales are least favored owing to dissimilarities in jurisdictions, functions, responsibilities, service conditions etc.
The revision of pay structure has been guided by several factors like the need for infrastructure development, human capital growth and fiscal capacity etc.
There is a Master Scale with 91 stages
Dearness Allowance or DA (on 1st January 2012) is included at the index level of 191.5 points- it was 76.75% on 1st January 2012
Minimum Pay Scale is INR 4800- 7275 (Recommendations to increase it to INR 9600- 145500 have been put forward)
Maximum Pay Scale is INR 28275- 39900 (Recommendations to increase it to INR 56550- 79800 have been put forward)
22.5% fitment benefits of basic pay (including Interim relief of 15%)

KPSC Jobs
Karnataka Public Service Commission or KPSC was constituted under the provisions of the Constitution of India on 18-05-1951. The major purpose of the KPSC was to advise the Government and other Appointing Authorities to make recruitments in the state civil services. The Commission is a constitutional body. Commission comprised of a Chairman and nine members. The Commission is having its Head Office at Bangalore and four Regional Offices at Mysore, Belgaum Gulbarga & Shimoga.
