India’s low cost carrier and one of the biggest airline has increased the salary of pilots by 13%. Hike in the salary by IndiGo has also been given to cabin crew of 16%. Step has been taken to prevent the talented commanders from Gulf carriers.
Salary of first officer for flying his stipulated 50 hours will be Rs 2.61 lakh. This has been realised the hike of Rs 1 lakh. If they fly for 90 hours their salary will be Rs 3.3 lakh. For 70 hours flying, second officer is now liable for Rs 3.75 lakh and 4.3 lakh for 90 hours in a month. Where, captain will get Rs 6.01 for 70 hours and Rs 7 lakh for 90 hours.
Cabin crew’s salary has also been increased and now their salary will become Rs 31,000 per month for 40 hours . Where, the salary of senior cabin attendant and lead cabin attendant for 40 hours will be Rs 40,000 to Rs 60,000, respectively. Check crew salary will be Rs 90,000. The bonus for reaching 90 hours of flying will be in the between Rs 45,000 to Rs 1 lakh.
