NOIDA: Even though the global economy has slowed HCL Technologies plans to take advantage of the times and create jobs. HCL’s strategy is to hire when there is a greater supply of talented individuals seeking employment than there is demand. Thus, HCL can obtain a lower labor cost for exceptionally good talent that would normally cost more. HCL plans to hire for 10,000 positions globally and another 3,000 or so in India. HCL Technologies is a very successful company and is India’s fourth largest IT company. HCL Technologies spun off from HCL Enterprises in 1991 in order to better focus on the IT services industry. HCL Technologies is based out of Noida. HCL also has plans to construct two training centers for freshers, one in Nagpur and another in Manes. So clearly HCL has long term plans to continue to hire within India even though they are a global force. The training centers are expected to be completed and up in running within three years.
