As we all know that IT budgets are under pressure, hence it shows the spending patterns of TCS's clients. In 2011-12, TCS will end up hiring around 66,000 employees. Till the last 3 quarters, it added 51,000 employees (this includes both lateral and campus hires), and is expected to hire 15000 during January-March quarter.
TCS has changed its strategy for applying to visas to US. Previously it depended on L-1 visas and now the applications are sent through H1-B visas. This year it applied for 4500 H1-B visas. The main reason for this was, increased rejection of L1 visas.
