Shell India Markets Private Limited is a division of Royal Dutch Shell, which is the largest private investor in India’s energy sector. The company has already put in US$ 1 billion to become one of the largest suppliers of crude oil, chemicals and technological support provider to other private and public oil companies. They are the most diversified private oil company in the world. Apart from supplying crude products, the company is operating an LNG receiving and re-gasification terminal, a technology center and a financial business services center. Their wide product and service base comprises manufacturing and supplying of lubricants, bitumen, marine fuels, research and development and financial business services.
They are the only private oil company in the world to obtain license from the Government of India to operate in the retail fuel industry of the country. They have over 2000 retail outlets spread across the country. Shell lubricant manufacturing unit in Taloja, Western Mumbai, is regarded as one of the finest lube oil blending companies in the Asian continent. They have high capacity (50,000 MTPA) bitumen specialty product manufacturing units in Uluberia, West Bengal and Savli, Gujarat.
Shell was honored with the ‘national award’ for their remarkable contribution towards employment generation for the disabled. They had received the award from the President of India in 2007.
The company has also ventured into producing gas and power in collaboration with Total UK. The unit in Hazira (Surat) has an annual production capacity of 2.5 million tonnes of LNG (liquefied natural gas).

Interview process
Their interview process for experienced professionals is divided into two levels – face-to-face interview/telephonic interview and final assessment.
If the application of the candidate matches the criteria mentioned by the company, he/she is then asked to appear for a personal interview that may last for 45 minutes to 1 hour. During this process, work experience, exposure, and knowledge of the candidate are evaluated.
