Some of the cars from its stable are A-Star, Wagon-R, SX4, Ritz and Swift. The reported net sales of Maruti Suzuki India Ltd stood at around INR 114,864 million reflecting net profits of INR 6,398 million in Quarter 4 of 2011-2012.
Honda: It emerged as one of the top car companies in the same list mentioned above. The number of total cars sold in the year 2011-2012 was around 54,427.
Volkswagen: Volkswagen's operations in India are spearheaded by its plant in Pune. The company's presence in India as one of its leading car companies can be gauged by the fact that it has a production capacity of more than 110,000 vehicles a year.
